The overarching goal of our research is to harness and engineer microbial systems to transform waste biomass into valuable energy, chemicals, and materials to drive the transition toward a sustainable circular bioeconomy. We integrate hands-on experimentation with computational modeling to develop innovative, scalable, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions for waste valorization and resource recovery.
